Request data deletion by email
This page explains how to request deletion of the personal data that SPICE Finance Ltd ("SFL") holds about you, including any data SFL receives when you contact us through Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp. It complements our Data Protection & Privacy Policy, which sets out your broader rights under the Data Protection Act 2017 (Mauritius).
What data we receive through Meta platforms
When you message SFL through WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger or Instagram, we may process your profile name, your WhatsApp / Facebook / Instagram account identifier, your phone number, and the content of the messages you send us. We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry and to service your relationship with SFL.
How to request deletion of your data
You can ask SFL to delete the personal data we hold about you at any time. To make a request, use the button above or contact us through any of the channels below, stating that you are exercising your right to erasure:
- Email: info@spice-finance.com with the subject "Data deletion request";
- WhatsApp or phone: +230 405 4050;
- Post: SPICE Finance Ltd, 7th Floor Dias Pier Building, Le Caudan Waterfront, Port Louis 11307, Mauritius (for the attention of the Data Protection Officer).
So that we can locate your records, please include the name, phone number or account identifier you used when contacting us, and tell us which data you would like deleted (for example, the data linked to your WhatsApp, Facebook or Instagram account).
What happens next
We will acknowledge your request and verify your identity before acting on it. Once verified, we will delete the personal data associated with your Meta-platform interactions and confirm completion to you, normally within thirty (30) days.
Please note that SFL may be required by law to retain certain information — for example, records needed to meet anti-money-laundering, tax, accounting or regulatory obligations. Where this applies, we will delete everything we are not legally required to keep, and we will tell you what has been retained and why. Our general retention period is described in our Data Protection & Privacy Policy.
